Vitamin K2 – MK7 drops
Contents: 15 ml
Vitamin K2 is not only important for blood clotting, but also for bones and teeth. The vitamin ensures higher bone density and better bone quality. Especially the elderly, children, and people with tooth and dental neck problems should rely on the vitamin more often.
Taking the vitamin can also help prevent vascular calcification. The heart can thus be protected, and the risk of a heart attack is significantly reduced. Of course, it is important to take the vitamin regularly. Today vitamin K can be taken not only with food, but also with dietary supplements. An overdose is virtually impossible.
Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and healthy lifestyle.
Why should high-dose vitamin D always be taken together with vitamin K2?
Vitamin D3 and K2 – a good combination
Care should be taken when taking high doses of vitamin D alone, as this can lead to health risks.
Together with parathormone, vitamin D increases the absorption of calcium from the intestines. This also increases the concentration of calcium in the blood.
The body must be able to use this calcium in the blood, otherwise it is deposited in the body as a useless and harmful waste product. In the long run, this leads to dangerous calcification of vessels and organs.
This is important to know:
The actual cause of calcium deposits in blood vessels is not increased calcium levels, but the fact that there is a lack of vitamin K2 to utilize this calcium.
And this is where vitamin K2 comes in:
Vitamin K2 activates the two proteins osteocalcin and MGP (Matrix Gla Protein). These are primarily responsible for calcium utilization in the blood. When activated (carboxylated), these carboxylated forms can bind and transport calcium. Osteocalcin and MGP thus ensure the transport and storage of blood calcium in the hard substance of bones and teeth. If these proteins are not activated, they cannot perform this task.
Thus, with the help of vitamin K2, calcium also gets to where it belongs and where it is needed. Vitamin K2 thus prevents calcium in the blood from being deposited as plaque in the artery walls, thus keeping our blood vessels clean.
MK-7 (all-trans) – better absorption, longer active
But there are also big differences in vitamin K2.
A carefully produced MK7 all-trans active ingredient is currently still very expensive. In many supposedly cheap products, especially from abroad, low-cost imported active ingredients with low all-trans content are used and are thus largely ineffective.
Vitamin D and vitamin K belong to the fat-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble means that they need fat/oil as a means of transport. Only then can the body use them.
If you take vitamins D3 and/or K2 as a dietary supplement, pay attention to the dosage form. Vitamin D or K2 in the form of tablets or dragées contain no natural oils. They also often contain unnecessary additives.
Conclusion:
High doses of vitamin D require vitamin K2 for calcium utilization. As a dietary supplement, vitamin D3 should therefore always be taken together with vitamin K2.
In combination with vitamin D3, the long-acting form of vitamin K2 (MK-7) best ensures adequate supply to all organs and tissues
